The memo is from Bill Dover to Mel Barbour discussing having Peter Benchley reading the book and possibly developing it into a role for Dick Van Dyke. The letter is dated 1/15/1969 just after Van Dyke had made Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Benchley's name is written in black marker on the front free endpaper.
